Summary
Shibogama First Nations Council is seeking Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to provide primary and community-based healthcare in our communities. This role offers full-time or part-time options, combining in-community and virtual care. NPs will deliver patient-centered care, support health promotion, and collaborate with Community Health Nurses and local providers to improve health outcomes. Details
Nurse Practitioners report to the Health Director and provide holistic care through health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and health education. Responsibilities include virtual consultations for CTAS 4 & 5, mentoring nurses, leading health promotion programs, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Candidates must hold a Master’s in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner certification, be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and have at least two years’ recent experience in primary, community, urgent, or acute care. Travel, on-call work, and flexibility are required.
