Shibogama First Nations Council
represents five communities (Wunnumin Lake, Kingfisher Lake, Wapekeka,
Wawakapewin and Kasabonika Lake). Our
head office is located in Wunnumin Lake First Nation with a main
office in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
We have been an integral
part of Shibogama since its formation in 1984 and Technical Services
is one of four departments. We have built a solid reputation with
each of the Shibogama associated community members as well as other
First Nation communities in the district.
Technical Services is directed
from a board which consists of representatives from each community.
Our mandate is to provide technical advisory services to the Shibogama
member communities based upon the INAC Public Works Manual. We have
carried out most of our projects in First Nations communities, which
have included involvement over and above the INAC Public Works Manual.
In brief, we can provide
a complete range of advisory services for building and infrastructure
projects. Technical Services is constantly seeking and taking on
new challenges and planning for the future by partnering with other
engineering and construction firms.
