The communities of Kingfisher Lake, Wapekeka, and Wunnumin Lake each have a fully-equipped, two-nurse Health Centre, a local Health Council, a Mental Health Team, and a First Response Team. Administrative support is provided by Shibogama Health Authority located in Sioux Lookout. Sioux Lookout Program physicians, located at the Sioux Lookout Zone Hospital, supply 24 hour clinical assistance via telephone, as well as monthly physician visits to each community. Shibogama nurses have access to all health programs, health education, and health promotion materials and professionals located at the Zone Hospital. |
