Energy Planning Project: Final Community Meetings

During the week of February 13th, 2017 Shibogama Technical Services held final community meetings for the Community Energy Planning project in Kingfisher Lake, Kasabonika Lake, Wunnumin Lake and Wapekeka First Nations. Attendees learned about their community’s Draft Community Energy Plan and provided feedback to STS on the final versions of the Plans.

Community Energy Advisors meet in Sioux Lookout

On Tuesday May 24, 2016 the Community Energy Advisors for Kasabonika Lake, Kingfisher Lake, Wapekeka, Wawakapewin, and Wunnumin Lake First Nations met with Shibogama Technical Services staff to discuss the ongoing Community Energy Planning project.

Shibogama Technical Services and all five of the Shibogama communities were awarded funding from the Independent Electricity System Operator’s  Aboriginal Community Energy Plan (IESO - ACEP) program.
