Kasabonika Lake is pleased to celebrate the grand opening of their new Health Centre, the Emily Anderson Memorial Menoyawin Health Centre. This new state of the art health facility will help to ensure all the community members of Kasabonika Lake has access to improved health care services. This expansion provides additional functional and programming space to serve the community and health professionals.
After several years of planning by the community, the Kasabonika Lake Nursing Station Expansion Project is finally out of the ground. Shibogama Technical Services is pleased to be participating in this project as Project Manager. The community and Shibogama are joined by the design team of Wickham Consulting, and general contractor Wechimachida Limited Partnership. Wechimachida is a joint venture between the community and PennCo Construction of Manitoba. Our Project Team, pictured here taking time to smile for the camera, are working hard on the functional plan and design for renovations to the existing along with a significant addition to the Nursing Clinic in Kasabonika Lake. Our leader and Chief Eno H. Anderson is centre with his Council Members and Elder, as well as our team of design specialist, technicians and health care workers, and is very happy to finally have this project underway.
Congratulations goes out to our new Heavy Equipment Operators in Kasabonika Lake, who following training and certification have been hired by Contractor - Arnason Industries Ltd. to work on the Kasabonika Lake Sewage Lagoon Project. Chief Eno H. Anderson and several Council Members were on hand to congratulate Con McKay, Ashley Anderson, Noah Fox, Murray Anderson, and Kyle Mckay, our most recently certified Operators. A wonderful achievement!
